Jacques has 25 years of experience helping organizations, communities and individuals to get the best results from their investments in education and training.
He has provided strategic advice, designed education programs in every possible format – from dynamic workshops and powerful online simulations to a $3 million mixed-mode language learning program, and published numerous evaluation and research reports for clients as varied as Microsoft, the Hong Kong Productivity Council, Bombardier Aerospace, Health Canada and the World Resources Institute.
With two partners, Jacques built a successful information technology training company in Montreal, which was sold to the CGI Group in 2000. His focus then turned to applying his skills and experience to his true passion: education for sustainability.
Now based in British Columbia’s Okanagan Valley, he has served a growing number of clients around the world in this field, and is now working exclusively to empower private, public, non-profit and local government organizations with the best sustainability education content available, and high-quality design and consulting services.
Jacques is an Associate of The Natural Step Canada, working with an international network of professionals in 11 countries. In this capacity, he can provide clients with access to excellent education services and materials on this holistic, proven and science-based framework for sustainability planning and decision-making, used by hundreds of organizations and communities around the world.
He holds an M.A. in Educational Technology from Concordia University (1989), where he lectured for several years, and a B.A.Sc. in Bio-Resource Engineering from the University of British Columbia (1983). He studied instructional design with experts like Ruth Colvin Clark, Sivasailam “Thiagi” Thiagarajan, David Merrill and William Horton.
